
Men's Hockey's Lafferty Named Third Team All-ECAC

ALBANY, N.Y. – Junior forward Sam Lafferty (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) of the Brown men's hockey team was named to the 2016-17 All-ECAC Third Team, as selected by the league's 12 head coaches.
Lafferty put together a breakout season for the Bears, leading the team with 35 points and 22 assists in all 31 games played. He also ranked second on the team with 13 goals and averaged 1.13 points per game. The assistant captain, who led the Bears with 21 points in ECAC play, posted nine multiple-point games during the season and added a pair of four-point performances.
Lafferty, a Pittsburgh Penguins draftee, also earned Second Team All-Ivy honors and was named a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England.
