BROWN SPIKES ALS
Throughout the 2017 season, Brown is aiming to "Spike ALS" as the Bears work to support research and awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The Bears are donning red apparel throughout the year in support of the cause.
ALS has affected the family of Brown head coach Diane Short. Coach Short's mother and aunt have both passed away from the disease while her brother and sister currently have ALS. Fans can donate to the cause through the Brown Volleyball Spikes ALS page on the ALS Association's website.
