In front of a standing-room-only crowd and competing alongside the Brown gymnastics team, the Bears (3-4, 1-2 EIWA) won four of the first six bouts to lead 16-7 before the visiting Bearcats (6-4, 6-2 EIWA) came back to win the EIWA conference dual.

Viruet (Springfield, Mass.) tallied his team-leading 20th win of the year and team-best sixth major decision with a 16-4 victory over Jake Einbinder at 165 lbs.
On the other side of the gym, Brown gymnastics fell to the University of Bridgeport, 194.050 to 190.275.

After Binghamton pulled within 9-7 with a pair of wins, senior William McDonald (Carson City, Nev.) earned a 5-2 decision over Tristan Rifanburg to give Brown a 12-7 lead. He logged a takedown and an escape in the third period to seal the win.
Viruet followed with his 16-4 major decision triumph, scoring four takedowns in the first period and extending the hosts' edge to 16-7. Binghamton won the meet's last four bouts to claim the team win.
