
Women's Hockey Lands 20 on the 2015-16 ECAC All-Academic Team

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Brown women's hockey team placed 20 student-athletes on the 2015-16 ECAC All-Academic Team and senior Hunter Davis (Clifton Park, N.Y.) achieved Commissioner's Level status for the second-straight year, the ECAC Hockey conference office announced on Tuesday.
The Bears' 20 honorees are the most in program history, with the ECAC All-Academic Team selections starting with the 2002-03 season.
All three seniors in Davis, Kelly Micholson (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and Alli Rolandelli (Minnetonka, Minn.) garnered the award with Davis earning her fourth, while Micholson and Rolandelli received their second honors.
A trio of juniors in Erin Conway (Jackson, Mich.), Catherine LeBoeuf (Dieppe, New Brunswick) and Maddie Woo (Plymouth, Minn.) were also selected with Conway taking home her third recognition and LeBoeuf her second.
All eight members of the sophomore class - Caroline Buckholtz (Greenlawn, N.Y.), Rachael Cholak (Kenosha, Wis.), Sam Donovan (New Brighton, Minn.), Cynthia Kyin (Stokie, Ill.), Julianne Landry (Hanover, Mass.), Katie Swanstrom (Ham Lake, Minn.), Samantha Swanstrom (Ham Lake, Minn.) and Dara Wais (Baltimore, Md.) - received their second-straight recognition.
All six freshmen were also named to the team in Bridget Carey (Weymouth, Mass.), Jenna Hewitt-Kenda (North Vancouver, British Columbia), Katie Lynch (Victoria, Minn.), Cara Najjar (Stoneham, Mass.), Abby Niewchas Cochrane, Alberta) and Leah Olson (East Harwich, Mass.).
Players are eligible for the ECAC All-Academic Team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
Commissioner's Level status recognizes the top scholar on each institution in the ECAC. Priority for the award goes to a student-athlete who has attained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.75 on a 4.00 scale or has a grade-point average of 3.75 for three consecutive semesters (excluding summer semesters).
