2016-17 Complete Schedule
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's ice hockey second-year head coach Bob Kenneally '90 announced the team's 2016-17 schedule on Thursday. The Bears will host 16 games in Meehan Auditorium, including the 22nd Annual Mayor's Cup, and play in 13 road contests. A total of six games will be played against NCAA qualifying teams, in series versus Quinnipiac, Clarkson and Princeton.
The 2016-17 season starts with seven-straight home games, beginning with a non-conference series versus Scared Heart on Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22.
Brown next hosts Princeton in its first Ivy League matchup on Friday, Oct. 28 before welcoming ECAC foe Quinnipiac on Saturday, Oct. 29.
A weekend series against Union (Friday, Nov. 4) and Rensselaer (Saturday, Nov. 5) opens up the month of November followed by a non-conference battle against UConn on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Trips to Cornell (Friday, Nov. 11) and Colgate (Saturday, Nov. 12) mark the Bears' first away contests of the year before returning to Meehan on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 to square off against Clarkson and St. Lawrence, respectively.
The Bears will host Providence in the Mayor's Cup on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Merrimack in a midweek game on Tuesday, Nov. 29 to finish the month.
A non-conference series at Robert Morris closes out 2016 play on Friday, Dec. 30 and Saturday Dec. 31.
Brown starts off the New Year with four-straight away games, at Rensselaer (Friday, Jan. 6), at Union (Saturday, Jan. 7), at St. Lawrence (Friday, Jan. 13) and at Clarkson (Saturday, Jan. 14).
Next, Harvard and Dartmouth visit Meehan Auditorium on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21 before a home-and-home series against Yale on Friday, Jan. 27 (at Yale) and Saturday, Jan. 28 (at Brown).
Brown then travels to Quinnipiac (Friday, Feb. 3) and Princeton (Saturday, Feb. 4) before the season home finale at Meehan Auditorium against Colgate (Friday, Feb. 10) and Cornell (Saturday, Feb. 11).
Away games at Dartmouth on Friday, Feb. 18 and Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 18 close out the 2016-17 regular season.
