
Women's Lacrosse's Walsh, Hunt and Hudgins Earn All-Ivy Accolades

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's lacrosse senior Richael Walsh (Westwood, Mass.), junior Kerianne Hunt (Alamo, Calif.) and sophomore Marissa Hudgins (Syracuse, N.Y.) were recognized with All-Ivy distinctions in an announcement made by the conference on Wednesday.
Walsh, a two-year captain for the Bears, was named Second Team All-Ivy after starting all 15 games, leading the team in ground balls (23), second in draw controls (19) and tied for third in caused turnovers (9). The midfielder tallied five goals, including a two-goal game at Columbia (April 16).
Hunt and Hudgins were both selected Honorable Mention All-Ivy.
Hunt appeared in 13 games, starting of them while grabbing a team-best 29 draw controls. For scoring, Hunt concluded the season tied for fourth on the squad in points (13), on nine goals and four assists. The midfielder recorded a career-high four points (3G, 1A) twice this the season, versus Iona (2/20) and against Colgate (3/13).
Hudgins was a core member of the Bears' defense this season, starting all 15 games and ranking second on the team in caused turnovers (13). She also was fifth in ground balls (17) and fifth in draw controls (10).
