Men's Golf Finishes 10th At Anteater Invitational

The Brown men's golf team traveled to California on its spring trip to escape the cool Northeast and competed in the Anteater Invitational, hosted by Cal-Irvine. The Bears shot a 54-hole 963 to place 10th at the par-72, 7060-yard El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel, CA.
Long Beach captured the team title with a three-round 891, followed by UC Irvine (898), Cal-Northridge (903), Drexel (904), Columbia (911), Weber State (922), Utah State (926), Cal-Fullerton (927), North Dakota State (032) and Brown (963).
Junior Chad Carlson led the Bears with a 54-hole 239 on rounds of 80-82-77 to place 44th individually. Freshman Bryan Hong was close behind on rounds of 79-79-82—240.
Sophomore Kevin Li came in with scores of 82-78-82—242, while junior Connor Lynch shot 243 on rounds of 84-80-79. Senior captain Jack Wilson also scored for the Bears, shooting 88-81-86—255.
Coach Mike Hughes' team returns to action again April 9-10 at the Princeton Invitational, played at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, NJ.
