
Men's Soccer Set to Host Harvard (Fri.), No. 3 Clemson (Sun.) This Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will return to College Hill for a pair of games this weekend when the Bears host Harvard on Friday (7 PM) and No. 3 Clemson on Sunday (12:30 PM) at Stevenson-Pincince Field.

LAST TIME OUT
Brown shutout Princeton, 1-0, on the road last weekend to remain undefeated in Ivy League play. Louis Zingas scored the only goal of the contest in the 53rd minute, while Nate Pomeroy and Nico Lozada earned assists. Keeper Erik Hanson racked up a career high eight saves to pick up the shutout.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard (6-3-2, 1-0-1) is undefeated over its last five games, going 4-0-1 during the stretch, and most recently downed Boston College, 2-0, on Tuesday. Jake Freeman leads the Crimson offensively as he ranks second in the Ivy League in both goals (6) and assists (4). Christian Sady and Matthew Glass have 10 points apiece. Kyle Parks has played every minute in net for the Crimson and heads into the weekend with a 1.40 goals-against average and a .761 save percentage. Harvard finished second in the Ivy League last season with a 5-2 record.
LAST TIME AGAINST HARVARD
Brown fell at Harvard, 1-0, in last year's meeting between the two teams. Erik Hanson made two saves for the Bears in the loss.
SCOUTING CLEMSON
No. 3 Clemson (8-2-2, 3-1-1) fell to No. 14 Charlotte, 1-0, on Tuesday to snap a seven-game unbeaten streak. The Tigers will play at Boston College on Friday before heading to Providence for Sunday's matchup. Diego Campos leads the Tigers in scoring with five goals and three assists for 13 points. Austen Bunikel is second on the team in scoring with three goals. Ximo Miralles is 6-2-2 in net with a 0.67 GAA and a .833 save percentage. Clemson reached the finals of the College Cup last season, falling to Stanford in the national championship.
ALL-TIME AGAINST CLEMSON
Clemson is 4-1 all-time against Brown, winning the last four meetings.
SCHOOL TIES
Clemson Head Coach Mike Noonan coached at Brown from 1995-2009 where he recorded a 160-77-31 record with ten NCAA Tournament appearances.

After this weekend, the Bears will host Cornell on Sunday (10/23) at 1 PM.
