In the home opener, sophomore Mikela Waldman (San Francisco, Calif.) scored in the 4th minute, and freshman Amanda Lane (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) netted the game-winner in the 63rd minute. Waldman and freshman Celia Story (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) provided the assists on Lane's tally while freshman goalkeeper Christine Etzel (Madison, Conn.) made five saves in her first collegiate win.
Against the Blue Hens, junior Carly Gould (Hampton Falls, N.H.), an Honorable Mention All-Ivy choice last fall, posted her first goal of the season, and sophomore goalie Rylee Shumway (Los Angeles, Calif.) notched a career-high nine saves.
