
#62 Men's Tennis Cruises Past #67 Penn, 5-2

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The #62 Brown men's tennis team scored its first Ivy League win of the season, a 5-2 decision over #67 Penn on Sunday at the Brown Varsity Tennis Courts.
Brown improves to 15-3 overall with the win and evens its Ivy record to 1-1.
In their first home match of the season played outdoors, the Bears got off and running as the top pairs of #78 Brandon Yeoh/Justin To and Peter Tarwid/Gregory Garcia claimed the double point for the second consecutive day.
To and Garcia each cruised through their matches in straight sets, as Garcia gave the Bears a 3-2 lead with a win in the No. 2 slot. Freshman Aaron Sandberg clinched the Brown win with a 6-4, 7-5 over Ismael Lahlou. Tarwid tacked on Brown's fifth win of the afternoon with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 decision over Nicholai Westergaard.
Brown will travel to #55 Cornell and #28 Columbia on April 11-12, respectively, to battle the Big Red and Lions.
