LAST TIME OUT
The Brown women's lacrosse team and Dartmouth battled through a tight, defensive first half, but the host Big Green outscored the Bears 6-3 the rest of the way to claim a 10-6 triumph at Scully-Fahey Field on Saturday.
Brown drops to 7-7 overall and 1-5 in Ivy play, while Dartmouth improves to 2-11 and 2-3 in league play with the win.
Emma Dahle (Wynnewood, Pa.) continued her offensive onslaught on Saturday, posting her first career hat trick and adding an assist to lead the Bears.
DAHLE CONTINUES HOT STREAK
Freshman Emma Dahle earned ECAC New England Division I Rookie of the Week honors after totaling six goals and two assists last week, including her first career hat trick at Dartmouth on Saturday. The rookie ranks fourth in scoring on the Bears with 18 points (12g, 6a) and currently rides a six-game point streak in which she has tallied eight goals and five assists over that span.
GION LIGHTS THE LAMP
Co-captain Janie Gion found the back of the net twice against Dartmouth last Saturday and has combined for five goals and four assists over her last three games. She ranks second on the Bears in scoring with 27 points.
EARNING A REPP-UTATION
Freshman Lindsey Repp's speed and ability to finish paid dividends for the Bears in wins over Columbia and UMass-Lowell, as the rookie posted five goals and an assist during those two contests.
LANGMUIR EARNS FIRST COLLEGIATE POINTS
Brown rookie and Providence native Hannah Langmuir notched two assists at Albany on April 8 in just her second appearance of the season for the Bears. The former Moses Brown standout potted her first career goal against UMass-Lowell on on April 14.
TOY STORY
Junior Lauren Toy paces the Brown offense with 33 points on 25 goals and eight assists over 14 games. Toy has netted hat tricks in five games this season, including a career high four-goal outburst at Colgate on March 24. She also posted three goals and an assist against San Diego State on March 31 and added a pair against UMass-Lowell on April 14.
ROWDY RODDY
Goaltender Kellie Roddy ranks 19th nationally with a .474 save percentage and ranks second in the Ivy League with 7.71 saves per game. Her 8.76 goals against average is good for 24th overall in the nation.
DIBONA CLEANING UP ON THE DRAWS
Senior co-captain Alyssa DiBona has found success on the draws this season, averaging 3.71 controls per game, good for second in the Ivy League and 30th nationally.
SERIES HISTORY – PRINCETON
The Tigers have dominated the all-time series between the two schools, 31-4, but Brown claims the most recent matchup, a dramatic 14-13 overtime win in Providence last season, Brown's first win over Princeton since 1991.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton can secure the outright Ivy League title with a win on Saturday and have notched wins over three ranked opponents this season - #9 Loyola (10-8), #11 Penn State (12-11), and #11 Penn (9-7). The Tigers rely on a balanced attack led by Erin Slifer's 33 goals and 19 assists and Olivia Hompe's 37 strikes and 12 assists. Stephanie Paloscio, Erin McMunn, Anna Doherty, and Anya Gersoff have all found the back of net at least 10 times this season. Ellie DeGarmo has gotten the lion's share of minutes in goal this season, posting a 9-3 record and a .452 save percentage.
