LAST TIME OUT
Christina Ricciardulli's six goals, including four in the second half, fueled a furious 13-12 San Diego State comeback victory over the Brown women's lacrosse team on Tuesday at Stevenson Field.
The Bears drop to 5-4 overall, while the Aztecs improve to 8-3 and gain a split of their two-game eastern swing.
Kellie Roddy (Poway, Calif.) made six of her seven stops in the second half in the loss, while Katrina Reeves made four saves in the win.
Freshman Yuna Hur (Stony Brook, N.Y.) paced the Brown attack with a career high four strikes, with Lauren Toy (Kentfield, Calif.) chipping in with a hat trick and an assist for the Bears.
MAKING HUR MARK
Freshman Yuna Hur tallied a career high four goals against San Diego State on Tuesday. Demonstrating a quick stick, all four of Hur's goals were assisted from point-blank range.
DAHLE POSTS CAREER HIGH THREE POINTS
Another rookie shined on Tuesday against San Diego State, this time it was Emma Dahle who posted two goals and an assist for a career best three-point effort.
GION STRIKES FOUR TIMES
Senior Janie Gion connected four times during Brown's 11-5 win over Colgate on March 24. Gion ranks second on the team in goals (12) and points (17).
TOY STORY
Junior Lauren Toy paces the Brown offense with 25 points on 19 goals and six assists over nine games. Toy has netted hat tricks in five games this season, including a career high four-goal outburst at Colgate on March 24. She also posted three goals and an assist against San Diego State on Tuesday.
ROWDY RODDY
Goaltender Kellie Roddy ranks third overall in the Ivy League and 14th nationally with a .487 save percentage. The senior made a career high 14 saves against Cornell on March 21.
Junior Sarah Nesi notched her third career multi-point outing with a goal and an assist at Colgate on March 24.
SERIES HISTORY – HARVARD
The Bears and Crimson will battle for the 39th time on Saturday as Harvard holds a 27-11 edge in the all-time series between the two schools. Brown scored a 15-9 win in the last meeting at Stevenson Field on April 6, 2013.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
The Bears will attempt to slow down Harvard's Marisa Romeo on attack, as the sophomore paces the team with 34 points (25g, 9a). Her 4.57 points per game rank second in the Ivy League and 14th nationally. Other double digit goal scorers include: Audrey Todd (15), Julia Glynn (12), and Maeve McMahon (12).
Harvard enters Saturday's contest coming off a 9-8 win at Dartmouth on Wednesday. The Crimson have battled four ranked opponents this season – dropping contests to #8 Virginia (13-9), #5 Syracuse (11-10), #13 Princeton (17-12), and #9 Stanford (15-10).
