
Bears 5th After Day One of Brown Invitational

East Providence, R.I. - The opening round of the sixth Annual Brown Bear Invitational is in the books and Brown stands in fifth place after an opening round 310 in the 16 team tournament played at the par-71 Metacomet Country Club.
The first round standings show several teams bunched at the top with Yale (295) holding a one shot lead over Princeton (297), with Penn (302), Boston U. (302) and Brown (310) close behind, followed by LIU (312), FDU (313), Quinnipiac (313), Dartmouth (315), Sacred Heart (316), Albany (317), Central Connecticut (322), Siena (322), Hartford (324), Hofstra (324), and Holy Cross (351).
Princeton's Jordan Lippetz, Boston University's Adela Cejnarova and Quinnipiac's Nicole Scola are all tied for the individual lead after shooting one-over-par 72.
Brown was led by freshman Christine Kim at 74, followed by sophomore Roseanna Lederhausen at 75, freshman Siena Chapman at 79, senior Cassandra Carrothers at 82 and junior Juliette Garay at 84.
Play will conclude on Monday, April 13, with a shotgun start, starting at 10 am.
