PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Christina Ricciardulli's six goals, including four in the second half, fueled a furious 13-12 San Diego State comeback victory over the Brown women's lacrosse team on Tuesday at Stevenson Field.

The Bears drop to 5-4 overall, while the Aztecs improve to 8-3 and gain a split of their two-game eastern swing.

Kellie Roddy (Poway, Calif.) made six of her seven stops in the second half in the loss, while Katrina Reeves made four saves in the win.

Freshman Yuna Hur (Stony Brook, N.Y.) paced the Brown attack with a career high four strikes, with Lauren Toy (Kentfield, Calif.) chipping in with a hat trick and an assist for the Bears. Emma Dahle (Wynnewood, Pa.) also registered a career high with three points on a pair of goals and an assist.

Brown took a 5-4 lead into halftime on the strength of goals from Lindsey Repp (Scarsdale, N.Y.), Toy, Sarah Nesi (Westport, Conn.), and Hur. Things looked good for the Bears coming out of the gate in the second stanza, as they deposited the half's first five goals to extend their lead to 10-4 with 20:02 to play.

Two acrobatic goals from the freshman Hur gave Brown momentum before the Aztecs found their offensive stride in scoring nine of the game's final 11 goals in the final 20 minutes.

Three consecutive strikes from Ricciardulli in a span of 1:17 cut the Brown lead to 11-9 with 7:05 to play. Andrea Killebrew knotted the game at 11 before Ricciardulli struck again to give SDSU its first lead at 12-11.

Toy drew Brown even with 2:43 left, but Sophie Kubeck's putback after Roddy's free position save sunk the Bears with 4.3 seconds remaining.

Brown held a 16-12 advantage in ground balls, but the Aztecs boasted a 15-12 edge in draw controls, including crucial controls during their comeback.

Up next, the Bears return to Ivy League play on Saturday against Harvard at Stevenson Field beginning at 12 p.m.
