Field Hockey Nets 14 Players On NFHCA National Academic Squad

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown field hockey team continued its 2014-15 academic success this week with 14 members of the Bears earning Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad honors in an announcement made by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

Earlier this month, Brown was recognized with the nation's highest GPA (3.59), while freshmen Katherine Kallergis, Emma Quigley, and Alexa Scala earned Scholars of Distinction accolades.

Brown's 14 National Academic Squad honorees – Emily Arciero, Brooke Bonfiglio, Kelly Conway, Liza Green*, Lucy Green, Katherine Kallergis, Shannon McSweeney*, Caroline Moran, Maggie Mostoller, Emma Quigley, Hannah Rogers, Alexa Scala, Sophie Strome, and Ashley Waldron.
