
Field Hockey Nets Three Scholars of Distinction

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown field hockey rookies Katherine Kallergis (Lake Forest, Ill.), Emma Quigley (Hopewell, N.J.), and Alexa Scala (Rumford, R.I.) were named as Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction in an announcement made by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday.
The trio accounted for three of the 79 student-athletes selected as Scholars of Distinction, having achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
Last week, the Bears earned National Academic Team recognition in posting the nation's top GPA (3.59).
The 2014 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA National Academic Squad will be released on Monday, March 23rd.
