NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Brown field hockey team dropped its last game of the regular season at Yale, 6-2, at Johnson Field on Saturday afternoon. Brown finishes the season at 7-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play while Yale moved to 2-15 on the year and 1-6 in the league.

Yale scored its first goal of the game at 11:31 when Carol Middough recorded the tally. The Bulldogs increased their lead to 2-0 at 14:51 when Noelle Villa scored with an assist coming from Nicole Wells. Lily Smith (31:17) and Middough (32:31) added two more goals for Yale to increase the team's lead to 4-0 to end the first half.

Brown senior Alexis Miller (Caldwell, Mass.) scored at 38:50 after a penalty corner in the second half to pull the Bears within three (4-1). Miller's goal was the 24th of her career, and moved her into sole possession of seventh place all-time at Brown in goals scored. She also moved up to tie with Abigail Taft '12 for 11th all-time in points (53).

At 59:59 Yale's Brooke Resse added a tally to bring the Bulldogs' lead to 5-1. Katerina Toffoloni followed with a goal at 64:02 (6-1). Senior Hannah Rogers (Los Altos, Calif.) responded with a goal of her own at 66:59 following a penalty corner, to bring the score to 6-2. Rogers, like Miller, moved up on the all-time list for goals and points, placing her in sole possession of 12th place (20) for goals and tied for 13th with Kerri Whitaker '96 in points (48). The Bears were unable to score again, as the score remained 6-2 at the final whistle.

Freshman Katie Hammaker (Ephrata, Pa.) made a total of six saves in the contest for Brown while Emilie Katz made 12 stops for Yale.

The Bears had the game-lead in overall shots, 27-19, and a slight advantage in penalty corners, 12-11.
