LAST WEEK
Brown (3-5-2, 0-1-1 Ivy) earned a 0-0, double-overtime draw with Bryant University on Sept. 30 and fell at Columbia University on a 90th-minute goal on Oct. 3 in a pair of games last week.
Brown freshman goalkeeper Christine Etzel (Madison, Conn.) notched her third shutout of the season against the Bulldogs with the help of the Bears' back four of sophomores Maclaine Lehan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Sarah Cobb (North Tustin, Calif.) and freshmen Megan Grant (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Nicole Phillips (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.).
Etzel nearly logged another clean sheet against Columbia, but the Lions' Emma Anderson scored at 89:31 to give the hosts a 1-0 win. Spanning the course of four matches, Etzel went over 315 minutes without allowing a goal prior to the tally.
PREVIOUS FIXTURES
Brown and Princeton have played to a near deadlock in their previous 37 meetings as the Bears hold a 17-16-4 edge in the all-time series. The Tigers took last year's meeting, 5-0.
The Bears have engaged with Marist on three prior occasions with the series tied at 1-1-1 over the trio of matches. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in 2014.
