PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After a win over Columbia on Saturday, the Brown men's soccer team will take a break from league action when the Bears play host to Boston College on Tuesday night at Stevenson Field. Links to live video and live stats will be available at brownbears.com.

Last Weekend
Brown opened up Ivy League play with a 2-1 victory at Columbia on Saturday. Facing a one-goal deficit midway through the second half, rookie Jack Hagstrom and senior Will Cross notched back-to-back goals to left the Bears to the comeback win. Keeper Erik Hanson made five saves for the Bears, while Columbia outshot the Bears, 13-9.
Scouting the Eagles
Boston College heads into Tuesday's matchup at 6-3-1 overall and 2-2 in the ACC. BC most recently fell to Wake Forest, 5-0, at home on Friday. Zeiko Lewis and Trevor Davock pace the Eagles offensively, a pair of 12-pointer players who have four goals and four assists apiece. Cedric Saladin has played all but two games in net and checks in at 5-3-0 with a 1.58 goals-against average and a .658 save percentage. The Eagles are averaging just fewer than two goals per game (1.90).
Last Time Against the Eagles
Brown and Boston College played to a 1-1 draw last season. Louis Zingas scored for the Bears in the 81st minute, while the Eagles held a 13-10 advantage in shots.
Hagstrom Named Rookie of the Week
Freshman Jack Hagstrom was named the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week, earning the award for the second time this season. Hagstrom scored his team-high fourth goal of the season to help the Bears to a 2-1 victory over Columbia in Ivy League opener on Saturday. Facing a one-goal deficit midway through the second half, Hagstrom notched the equalizer off a corner to pave the way for the eventual victory in the team's lone contest of the week. The defender leads the team with eight points this season.
Gorab Named Senior CLASS Candidate
Jack Gorab has been named a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award, which is presented each year to the outstanding senior NCAA Division I Student-Athlete of the Year across ten different sports. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
