PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rookie Jack Hagstrom (Middleton, Wis.) evened the score in the 86th minute as the Brown men's soccer team played Princeton to a 1-1 draw in Saturday night's Ivy League contest at Stevenson Field.

Brown moves to 5-4-1 overall and remains unbeaten in the Ivy League at 1-0-1. Princeton now stands at 4-3-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in league play.

Junior Erik Hanson (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) made six saves in net, while Ben Hummel also recorded six stops on the other end.

Thomas Sanner gave the Tigers the early lead with his seventh tally of the season at 27:23. After Brendan McSherry had his shot blocked in Brown territory, Sanner and Hanson collided trying to make a play on the high bounce, but Sanner was able to get up first and quickly fired a shot into the top right of the net for the advantage.

Princeton carried over its momentum into the second half and continued to press offensively during the middle of the stanza. Despite a flurry of attempts, Hanson was able to make a couple of impressive stops to keep the deficit to one goal, including a diving save to deny Nico Hurtado with 17:49 remaining.

Brown made a late push during the final 10 minutes of the half and it paid off with the equalizer at 85:04. After a foul just past midfield gave Bruno a free kick, sophomore Louis Zingas (Warren, Mich.) launched a perfect ball into the box, where Hagstrom gained position for a header that went past the reach of Hummel for his fifth goal of the season.

The two teams had one shot on goal apiece in the second overtime, including Hummel's stop to deny Matthew Chow (Vancouver, British Columbia) with 1:04 left to play.
