Bucknell 1 3 2 0 - 6
Brown 2 4 4 1 - 11
Johns Hopkins 5 7 2 3 1 - 18
Brown 5 5 5 2 3 - 20
In game one against Bucknell, Will Klein's (Pasadena, Calif.) three goals helped pace Brown to an 11-6 triumph over the Bison. Holding a two-goal lead after two quarters, the Bears went on to score five of the final seven tallies to improve to 2-0 this season.
An offensive explosion in game two saw Brown and Johns Hopkins combine for 38 total goals in a hard-fought 20-18 Bears win in overtime. Senior Henry Fox (Mercer Island, Wash.) netted six goals, including one in the extra frame while Klein continued his torrid start with four more goals to run his season total to 11. Nick Deaver (Orinda, Calif.) and Yahel Murvitz-Lahav (Tel Aviv, Israel) each chipped in with hat tricks.
With the game knotted at 17 after regulation, goals from Fox, Deaver, and Warren Smith (Dallas, Texas) in overtime helped the Bears prevail over a pesky Blue Jays squad.
The Bears will return home next weekend to host the Bruno Classic from Sept. 12-14 at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
