A seven-goal outburst in the first quarter paced the Bears against MIT, led by Will Klein (Pasadena, Calif.) and Warren Smith's (Dallas, Texas) early goals. Senior Nick Deaver shined on Sunday, notching four goals in each game, including a goal in each quarter again MIT. Klein added two more tallies against the Engineers while Matty Gallas (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) cashed in three times for the Bears in game one action on Sunday.
In game two versus Harvard, Deaver's hat trick in the third quarter capped an eight-goal output on the day for the senior in a 13-8 Brown triumph. With the Bears leading 6-4 after two quarters, a 5-2 scoring edge in the third quarter gave Brown a comfortable cushion they would not relinquish. Klein, Jake Wyatt (Corona Del Mar, Calif.), and Yahel Murvitz-Lahav (Tel Aviv, Israel) tacked on a pair of goals each against the Crimson.
Senior goalkeeper Andrew Brown (Western Springs, Ill.) stopped nine shots as the Bears improved to 11-3 overall this season.
Brown returns to action on Oct. 11 with rematches against MIT and Harvard at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
