PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team, fresh off a split last week against UMass and UConn, welcome in Sacred Heart on Wednesday night at Stevenson Field.

LAST TIME OUT
Two early Huskies goals doomed the Brown women's soccer team on Sunday in a 2-0 loss to UConn at Joseph J. Morone Field.
YANT LEADS LEAGUE IN SAVES
Senior goalkeeper Malloy Yant (Fenton, Mo.) recorded her first career shutout in Brown's 2-0 win over UMass on Sept. 18. Yant currently leads the Ivy League with 29 saves.
KATZ GENERATING OFFENSE
Midfielder Erin Katz (Montgomery, Ala.) has elevated her play this season as one of Brown's offensive players to watch each game. The junior tallied her first goal of the season and first career game-winning goal last Thursday against UMass and has matched her shots on goal total from last season (3) in just six games this year.
CROSS ONE SHY OF 20
Senior captain Chloe Cross' (Seattle, Wash.) goal in the 67th minute last Thursday brings her career total to 19, tied for 11th on Brown's all-time goal scoring list.
STREAKBUSTERS
In their 2-1 season-opening win at St. John's on Sept. 5, the Bears snapped the Red Storm's 15-game home unbeaten streak dating back to 2012.
THE SERIES HISTORY – SACRED HEART
Wednesday marks the 12th all-time meeting between the Bears and Pioneers, with Brown holding a 7-2-2 advantage over those meetings. The Bears have pitched shutouts over the previous two contests and hold a 24-8 scoring edge over 11 games in the all-time series.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Wednesday will mark the third time this season that Brown will face one of the nation's premier scorers, this time the Bears are tasked with stopping midfielder Kristin Verrette. The senior ranks ninth the nation with nine goals and 15th with 18 points as she has accounted for 56-percent of the Pioneers' offense in 2014. In goal, Talia Schwartz has logged all 835:15 of play this season, recording a .725 save-percentage. The Pioneers have dropped 4-of-5, including back-to-back 2-1 defeats at the hands of Western Kentucky and Hartford, respectively.
