Women's Lacrosse Tops Nation in Team GPA

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the third time in four seasons, the Brown women's lacrosse team earned IWLCA Merit Squad accolades as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Wednesday.

The Bears topped all Division I women's lacrosse programs with a 3.55 cumulative team GPA, besting 84 institutions that were named to the Academic Honor Squad earlier this week. In 2011, Brown finished third overall in team GPA before rising to second in 2012.

Rockhurst University and Pomona-Pitzer College earned Merit Squad status for Division II and Division III respectively.
