Bears Place Eight At the Met Intercollegiate

Purchase, N.Y. - Brown opened its spring tournament schedule at Met Intercollegiate and placed 8th overall with a score of 651 at the 36-hole tournament played at the Century Club and the Old Oaks Country Club. Senior Nelson Hargrove paced the Bears with a 36-hole 158.
The University of Georgia captured the team championship with a two-round 581.
Hargrove shot scores of 84-74 to finish 18th individually under extreme windy conditions. Junior Justin Miller posted scores of 77-83--160 to place 26th individually
Freshman Chad Carlson came in at 166 on scores of 78-88, while senior Peter Callas shot 84-89--173. Sophomore Jack Wilson also scored for the Bears, shooting 92-83--180
The Bears are back in action again next week at the Princeton Invitational, April 12-13, at the Springdale Country Club.
