Women's Rugby Overwhelms Columbia, 101-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's rugby team improved to 4-0 this season after a resounding 101-0 triumph over Columbia at a rain-soaked Marvel Field on Saturday.
Brown got all the scoring they would need just 43 seconds into the match on Oksana Goretaya's (West Warwick, R.I.) score. From there, the Bears took control and tacked on 34 more points before halftime on the strength of three trys from Saskia Morgan (Pawtucket, R.I.).
The Bears continued to light up the scoreboard in the second half as they added 62 more points, with Sofia Rudin connecting on 8-of-10 conversions in the final stanza. Freshmen Hannah Yi and May Siu (New York, N.Y.) added scores in the waning minutes to account for the final margin.
