
No. 13 Men's Water Polo Beats Connecticut College, 14-1

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Sophomore Warren Smith scored three goals as No. 13 Brown University men's water polo defeated host Connecticut College, 14-1, at the Lott Natatorium on Sunday afternoon.
The Bears (13-4) took a 2-0 lead after the first quarter and gained a 9-1 advantage after two quarters to gain separation from the Camels (2-8).
Smith (Dallas, Texas) notched all three of his goals in the second quarter.
Senior Henry Fox (Mercer Island, Wash.) and sophomores Luke Irwin (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Jake Wyatt (Corona Del Mar, Calif.)) each posted two goals.
Freshmen Doug Barber (New Haven, Conn.) and Tommy Bush (Lafayette, Calif.) as well as senior Nick Deaver (Orinda, Calif.) tallied one goal apiece.
Brown added a pair of goals in the third quarter and registered three tallies in the final frame.
In goal, senior Andrew Brown (Western Springs, Ill.) made two saves for the visitors while sophomore Luke Weiser (Los Alamitos, Calif.) stopped one shot.
For the Camels, goalie Matthew Wagman recorded five saves, and Carlos Heros charted the hosts' lone goal.
Next, Brown hosts the Ivy Championships from Oct. 18-19 and opens play against Harvard on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
