#9 Women's Squash Tops #13 George Washington, Falls To #1 Princeton

Providence, R.I. - The ninth-ranked Brown women's squash team took care of business with a 7-2 win over 13-th ranked George Washington and dropped a 9-0 decision to #1 Princeton at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion Sunday afternoon.
After dropping matches at numbers one and two, Brown dominated the remaining seven matches. Sophomore Mina Shakarshy earned a 3-0 win at number three to pace the Bears. Senior Sarah Crosky won the marathon match of the day, each winning in five games. Crosky earning a 5-11, 11-6, 11-13, 11-8, 11-8 at number four. Sophomore Katherine Elliott-Moskwa, playing at number five, came away with a 3-1 victory.
Freshmen Isabel Pitaro and Skylar Murphy earned 3-0 wins at numbers six and seven, while senior Sarah Beresford captured a 3-0 win at number eight. Freshman Emily Richmond, playing at number nine, also came away with a 3-0 win.
The Bears are back in action Wednesday evening, February 6, traveling to New Haven, CT to face #5 Yale.
