
Kim Named Second Team All-NEWISA

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown University senior Melissa Kim (Bethesda,
MD) was named 2009 Second Team All-NEWISA (New England Women's
Intercollegiate Soccer Association).
A Second Team All-Ivy honoree, Kim also earned Third Team
CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors this year,
Kim played in 14 games, starting all 14, while missing one due to
injury. She finished tied for third on the team in scoring with six
points (2g, 2a) to bring her career numbers to 30 points (10g,
10a). A dominant midfielder, Kim finished among the top five
scorers on the team in each of her four seasons, playing in 62
games and starting 59. She finished her career ranked 18th at Brown
for career assists.
