The most decorated student-athlete in the history of Brown equestrian and one of the most successful riders in the history of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, Amanda Forte ’02 won the 2001 Cacchione Cup as the national individual hunter seat high-point rider.

Forte became the first person in the history of the sport to win every individual competition at the IHSA National Championships and then return to win both flat and fences as an alumna.

In her first two seasons, Forte won the 1999 Individual Open Flat Championship and the 2000 Individual Open Fences Championship.

As a junior, Forte captured the Individual Open Flat Championship and Cacchione Cup, while leading the Bears to the Team Open Over Fences Championship and a third-place overall team finish at the national championships.

In her final year at Brown, Forte helped the program win the Team Open Over Fences title and register a fifth-place team finish at nationals. Following graduation, she won the Alumnae Fences event in 2007 and the Alumnae Flat event in 2008.

A Cognitive Science concentrator at Brown, Forte continued her studies at New York University, earning a graduate degree in Educational Communication and Technology with a focus on Instructional Design.

Forte spent 10 years in the corporate world, becoming the Director of User Experience at one of the largest digital agencies in New York City, before becoming the owner and principle rider of Cerulean Stables, LLC – an equine sales organization in Glenmoore, Pa.
