Amit Inbar was named an assistant tennis coach at Brown inOctober of 2012. Inbar came to Brown after spending the 2011-12season as a volunteer assistant coach at UCLA.
A 2011 graduate of UCLA, with a degree in InternationalDevelopment Studies, Inbar was a three-year member of themen’s tennis team (2009-2011) after competing for theUniversity of Maryland in 2008-09. While at UCLA, Inbar competed intwo NCAA Championships, advancing to the Second Round of the 2011Singles Championship and to the Round of 16 in the 2010 DoublesChampionship, earning All-America honors. The Bruins’ MVP in2010, Inbar was a recipient of a PAC-10 post-graduate scholarshipin 2011. He was also a two-time Second Team All-Pac-10 honoree,earning recognition in both 2010 and 2011. In three years at UCLA,Inbar accumulated 69 singles wins and 71 doubles victories, endinghis career ranked 50th in the nation in singles and66th in doubles.
A native of Tel Aviv, Israel, Inbar served three years(2003-2007) in the Israeli Army (Air Force Division). He has alsoworked as a Tennis Instructor at several clubs and camps since thesummer of 2009
