Stephen Sanquist joined Brown for the 2005-06 academic year and has served as the primary equipment manager for the men's hockey team since the 2009-10 season, and assists with equipment needs for all of Brown's varsity athletic teams. He is responsible for ordering, issuing, and maintaining all player apparel and equipment.
Prior to his appointment with hockey, Sanquist was responsible for all equipment needs for field hockey, men’s tennis, men’s and women’s squash, fencing, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, softball, and men’s soccer. In 2008 he accompanied men’s soccer on their tour of Argentina, handling the equipment operations for the 12-day trip. He also assists football with equipment fitting and home and road game equipment operations.
Sanquist earned a BA in Business Institutions from the University of Rhode Island in 2011 and is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
A native of Providence, Sanquist resides in Cranston with his wife Melissa.
