Sean Banno was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics, Facilities and Events in July 2024. He previously served as an Assistant Director of Athletics - Facilities & Operations and Coordinator, Facilities & Operations. Banno joined the Brown Athletics Facilities & Operations staff in February 2018.
Banno oversees the Facilities & Operations department, focusing on facility projects and maintenance. Banno also serves as the event manager for football and manages special events, including Ivy & NCAA Tournaments.Â

A native of Warwick, R.I., Banno earned his Bachelor’s in Sports, Entertainment, Event Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2015. He earned his Master’s in Sport Venue and Event Management at Syracuse University in 2017. He resides in Cumberland, R.I., with his wife Rachel and their dog Ned.
