Janelle Kelleher joined the Brown Athletics staff as the Ice Rink Operations Coordinator in January of 2024. Kelleher assists in the daily operations of Meehan Auditorium. Some of her duties include handling game day operations from an events standpoint, scheduling internal and external rentals, and overseeing facility maintenance.
Kelleher was previously a Marketing Coordinator at SquadLocker, a custom sports apparel retailer based in Warwick, Rhode Island. In this role, she supported consumer promotion activities on email, social media, and websites, and planned social media scheduling across all platforms.
During her collegiate career, Kelleher played goalie on the women’s ice hockey team at the University of Rhode Island and received bachelor’s degrees in both communications and public relations. She served as the team’s social media coordinator, was a member of URI’s Club Sports and Intramural Council and was named a captain during her senior year. While in net, Kelleher posted career high games against Adrian College, stopping 53 of 57 shots and 60 of 64 shots on back-to-back nights.
After URI, Kelleher continued her academic and athletic career at Boston College. She played on BC’s NCAA DI women’s ice hockey team while pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration. She was named to Hockey East’s All-Academic Team for the 2022-23 season and completed graduate school in August of 2023.
Kelleher resides in Rhode Island with her partner, Allie, and their two cats.
