Brittany Harris is in her fourth season in 2026 as the head coach of Brown Gymnastics. Harris was introduced as the fourth head coach in program history on August 3, 2022 and serves as the event coach for both vault and floor.

Through her first three seasons, Harris’ gymnasts have earned the following honors:
All-GEC: 32 (14 First Team)
All-GEC Championship: 14 (7 First Team)

Brown has posted the three highest National Qualifying Scores in program history through Harris’ first three years at the helm, and the Bears have also earned six of the top 10 team scores, and four of the top five floor scores during her tenure.

In 2025, Harris led Brown to a runner-up performance at the Ivy Classic, and coached senior Maya Davis to an NCAA Regional berth on floor. Davis also was selected as the GEC Specialist of the Year and won individual Ivy League and GEC titles on floor. The Bears also finished undefeated at home for the second time in three years.

In 2024, Brown qualified for the team semifinals at USAG Nationals and finished in third place at the GEC Championships, and Harris coached Julia Bedell to an NCAA Regional qualifying berth on floor.
In her first season with the Bears in 2023, Harris led Brown to a 15-14 record, including a perfect 8-0 at home, and its fifth overall Ivy Classic title. The team posted its highest-ever National Qualifying Score (194.315) to qualify for the USAG National Team Semifinals. The Bears also posted two of the top five scores in program history, and Julia Bedell was named the GEC Co-Specialist of the Year and captured the USAG national title on floor. In the classroom, the Bears posted the highest team GPA in the nation, the first time the program has ever finished in the top five nationally and had 19 student-athletes earn Scholastic All-America honors from the WCGA.

Harris came to College Hill after serving as the head coach at Centenary College of Louisiana during the 2022 season. In her lone season at Centenary, Harris coached two USAG First Team All-Americans, five USAG national qualifiers, 12 MIC Academic All-Conference honorees and one CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Harris also spent three seasons as the top assistant coach at Lindenwood University, leading the Lions to the 2019 USAG Women’s Collegiate National Championship team title. Lindenwood also captured the 2019 and 2021 MIC Conference Championship titles, with Harris being named the USAG Collegiate Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019 and the WCGA DII Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021. Harris served as the Lions’ floor choreographer and served stints as the team’s interim head coach during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Harris began her collegiate coaching career as a student and volunteer assistant at her alma mater, Oregon State from 2015-18.

A standout gymnast during her collegiate career at Oregon State, Harris qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual all-arounder during her junior season in 2013. She earned Second Team All-Pac-12 laurels as a sophomore in 2012 and was a First Team honoree in 2013, both on uneven bars. She was a critical part of the Beavers run to the Pac-10 Championship team title in 2011, and once again when the team won the Pac-12 team championship in 2013.

Harris was a top Junior Olympic athlete and finished fourth in the all-around and tied for third on uneven bars at the Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, earning herself a spot on the national team. She also received the 2010 Shannon Miller Award, presented annually to the top gymnast in the state of Oklahoma.

Harris graduated from Oregon State in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, she is the daughter of Harriet and Steve Harris. Her father, Steve, played five seasons in the NBA with Houston, Golden State, Detroit, and the LA Clippers.
