Bartosh joined the Brown Athletics Strength & Conditioning unit as a Strength & Conditioning Coach in September 2022 and currently works with the men's hockey, men's lacrosse, and wrestling programs while assisting with football at Brown. In September 2025, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach of Sports Performance.Â
Bartosh joins the College Hill staff after spending two years at the University of New Hampshire as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and the throwers. He served as the Associate Strength Coach for football while assisting with the men's and women's hockey teams, men's soccer, track & field, and women's lacrosse programs.
Bartosh also has stops as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa, as well as serving as a strength and conditioning intern with the University of Iowa football and wrestling programs. Bartosh also spent time with the strength staff at the University of Northern Iowa as an intern and before this as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Coe College.
A 2015 graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a B.A in Physical Education. Bartosh went on to receive his M.S. in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University of Chicago in 2019.
Bartosh is certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC), National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS), and United States Weightlifting (USAW- Level 2).
An Olympic Weightlifter, Bartosh was nationally ranked in the 89kg and 81kg classes. He qualified for the 2018 and 2022 American Open Finals.
Austin resides in East Providence, Rhode Island, with his wife, Jamie, and two dogs, King and Rogue.
