Travis Pascoe enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Brown University wrestling program in 2015-16 having joined the staff in September of 2014.
In 2014-15, Pascoe helped guide two NCAA qualifiers in Ophir Bernstein ’15 and Justin Staudenmayer ’17 as well as a First Team All-Ivy performer in Billy Watterson ’15. He also helped the team post the nation’s fifth-best team GPA according to the NWCA.
Pascoe, an All-American and four-time NCAA Championship qualifier at Nebraska, came to Brown after two stints as an assistant coach at Oregon State. He spent the 2011-12 season as an assistant coach for Arizona State, and was a volunteer assistant at OSU from 2006-11.
Before Oregon State, Pascoe spent the 2005-06 season as an assistant coach at Fresno State. He has also coached as an instructor at camps and clinics.
"I am excited to announce the hiring of Travis Pascoe," head coach Todd Beckerman said upon Pascoe’s hiring. "We were teammates together at Nebraska, and I'm certain he will have an immediate impact and help elevate our program. He has been coaching on the West Coast since he graduated from college and has many recruiting connections throughout that part of the country, which will enhance our ability to recruit nationwide. I am very excited to have Travis and his family join our program."
While wrestling for Nebraska, Pascoe placed sixth in the 2005 NCAA Championships at 184 pounds. He also earned a Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate title en route to 101 wins as a Cornhusker. When he concluded his career, he ranked 13th on the school's all-time wins list.
