About Cheerleading - Brown University Athletics

The Brown University Cheerleading Team is an open gender club sport that supports Brown University Athletics and Recreation. The team is primarily present at men's home football games during the fall season (September – November), as well as men's and women's home basketball games during the winter season (November – March). In addition to home games, the team travels to select local away games.

The team is also involved in the school and community. We participate in university pep rallies, tailgates, tours, and more! In addition, we are a Team IMPACT partner, host youth clinics, take part in food drives, and cheer at events in the greater Providence, RI community.

The team has historically attended cheerleading competitions and participated in other performances/exhibitions. In 2023, the cheerleading team performed at North Kingstown High School’s Skipper Cheer Challenge and the Ivy League Cheerleading Exhibition. In 2024, the team made history and competed for the first time at UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida. We are excited to share that the team is returning back to the nationals stage for the second time in 2025!
