Bruno and #Brown250
Hi everyone! My very first blog post….
It has been an exciting 2014 so far! One of the highlights has been celebrating Brown University’s 250th Anniversary. We kicked-off a year and a half long party during the weekend of March 7-9, 2014, with fireworks, a giant cake, basketball games and numerous other events on campus! The weekend was a lot of fun. I got to go around campus to see some old friends again and also meet new ones, too.
But before the Opening Celebration weekend, my friends at the Brown Alumni Association and Office of the 250th Anniversary asked me to have a photo shoot. They then made a cutout of me and took it to the different Brown Clubs all across the country. It has already been to visit 39 Brown Clubs already. I wish I could have made those trips myself to see all of the great friends and alums of Brown, but I am a very busy Bear during the school year!
I know that everyone on campus is very busy planning the next big 250th event. We have the Fall Celebration on the weekend of September 27-28, 2014. The highlight of that weekend is the Bears' night football game against Harvard. But there is a full schedule of events set. I really hope you can come join me on campus and at Brown Stadium that weekend to continue to celebrate this amazing milestone!
