Before Brown: While it is rare to see hockey players from the south, Ross helped her Alliance Bulldogs become the first squad from Texas to ever win a National Title at the U19 Girls Tier II Championship in 2011 ... the netminder served as an assistant captain this past season and led her team to back-to-back National Championships.

Personal: Micaela M. Ross is the daughter of Nancy Keys and Colin Ross … has two brothers, Andrew, who played ice hockey for Skidmore College, and Keir, who captained the ice hockey team at Cornell … ranked in the top 10% for all four years at McKinney High School … a member of the National Honor Society and an AP Distinguished Scholar … enjoys making art, running, and writing.
