Equestrian Begins Season With Johnson & Wales Show

PROVIDENCE, R.I.  – Brown equestrian got its season underway last weekend at the Johnson & Wales Show. The Bears had four riders finish in the top-three in their events and picked up one individual win.
 
Sophia Ekstrand finished fourth in the Open Flat. Bridget Hickton competed in the Open Fences and finished fifth. Hickton also earned a sixth-place finish in the intermediate flat.
 
Sydney Fritz finished third in the Limit Flat.
 
In the Novice Flat, Lauren Lee-Hing took fifth place.
 
Alix Hamon earned the win in the Pre-Novice Flat and Jessica Jacyno came in second in the same event.
 
Brown finished third and fourth in the Introductory with Catalina Coral in third and Charlize Sentosa one spot behind.
 
UP NEXT
Brown will be back in action at the Salve Regina Show on Saturday (Oct. 14).
