Field Hockey Leads Ivy League with Seven NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Seven Bears were named NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction, announced earlier today by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Earlier this month, Brown placed 19 student-athletes on the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
With seven selections, Brown leads all Ivy League schools and is one of 11 schools with seven or more student-athletes named to the prestigious list. Ohio and Louisville led the nation with nine selections apiece. Columbia saw six student-athletes named Scholars of Distinction, the second-most in the conference. Cornell and Harvard following with five selections apiece.
The NFHCA recognized 287 student-athletes as Division I Scholars of Distinction. Student-athletes must a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.90 or better for eligibility.
The seven Bears, listed below, all earned NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad recognition earlier this month.
