Women’s Rugby Lands 10 on 2018-19 NIRA All-Academic Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's rugby team landed 10 student-athletes on the 2018-19 NIRA All-Academic Team, the organization announced on Thursday. Players are eligible for the All-Academic Team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 on a 4.00 scale and have participated in at least 50% of the team's games.
The 2018-19 season was highlighted by the Bears reaching the NIRA Quarterfinals in the 15s season and taking first place at Polar Bear 7s in the 7s campaign. Brown also took third in the spring in its own tournament, Brown 7s.
