Coral Gables, Fla. - The Women's Golf Association (WGCA) announced its list of All-American Scholars and named Brown junior Winnie McCabe (Dover, MA) to the team. A total of 1,097 women's collegiate golfers in all divisions (I, II, III) were recognized with this prestigious honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum GPA of 3.50 needed to qualify.
McCabe just completed her sophomore season at Brown under head coach Danielle Griffiths. Last year, McCabe competed in the Harvard Invitational, the Florida Atlantic University Winter Warm-up, the Brown Bear Invitational and the Boston College Invitational. She has also competed in the Ivy League Championship, the Red Rock Invitational, the St. John's Invitational and the Hartford Invitational throughout her career.
