Men’s Golf 12th at the Macdonald Cup

New Haven, CT - Brown men's golf team finished play at the Macdonald Cup with a 12thplace finish at the par-70, 6,970 yard Yale Golf Course. The Bears shot 303-301-319—923 in the tournament hosted by Yale.
Minnesota ran away with the team championship with a 54-hole, 10-under par score of 830. Princeton was second at 854, followed by Yale (860), Bucknell (866), Penn (869, Colgate (873), Harvard (874), St. John's (880), Fairfield (898), LaSalle (905), Fordham (913) and Brown (923).
Freshman Luca Zezzeny paced the Bears for the third straight tournament on scores of 72-70-74—216 to place 11th individually. Freshman Ford Bennett also continued his strong play in the fall, shooting 233 overall on scores of 78-75-80.
"Luca continues to be a bright spot with his outstanding early season play," said Brown head coach Mike Hughes. "We look forward to getting some good practice time in before our final fall competition on Long Island at the famed Maidstone Golf Club."
Bears' sophomore Cole Kemmerer shot 76-77-820—235, while senior Connor Riley came in at 77-79-85—241. Sophomore Andy Zhou contributed with scores of 82-82-83—247, while senior Chuck Isgar shot 87-80-83—250.
Brown will conclude its fall schedule at the Hampton Inn Maidstone Invitational at the Maidstone Golf Club in Southampton, NY, October 7-8.
