
Stephen Hudak and Ted Ottens Selected To Play in 2018 USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star Game

Providence, R.I. - Brown senior middy Stephen Hudak (Rydal, PA) and senior face-off specialist Ted Ottens (Wilton, CT) have been selected to play in the 77th Annual USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star Game. The Division I-II game will be played at Chappy Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College on Friday, May 25 at 7:30pm. Admission is free.
Hudak, selected to play on the North Team, ranked third on the Brown team in scoring with 29 points, scoring 21 goals and handing out eight assists. A First Team All-New England selection as a junior, Hudak completed his career with 64 goals and 18 assists. He battled injuries in 2018 and scored a season high four goals against both UMass and Providence. His 34 goals in 2017 were a career high.
Ottens, who will play for the South Team, is a two-time Second Team All-Ivy selection, who led the Bears with 96 ground balls, 15th nationally (6.40 per game) and second in the Ivy League. He captured 177-of-313 face-offs this season and ranked 21st nationally in face-off percentage (.565). Ottens picked up nine ground balls vs. #6 Yale, #6 Cornell and #4 Villanova, and had a big game vs. Dartmouth, winning 12-of-16 face-offs and scoring his 10th career goal.
The North-South Game is one of the most storied traditions in college lacrosse in which the highest caliber seniors from across the country are showcased on the same field. The game kicks-off a Memorial Day weekend filled with lacrosse in New England as the 2018 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Semifinals and Championship will be held 25 miles north of Providence at Gillette Stadium in Fox Borough, Mass., on May 26 and 28.
