
Men's Tennis Defeated by Penn, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by Penn, 4-1, on Saturday at the Hamlin Tennis Center. The Bears won the doubles point but the Quakers were able to take the first four singles matches to gain the victory.
Seniors Jack Haworth (Corby, England) and Anthony Arocho (Norridge, Ill.) teamed up to give Brown a 6-4 win in first doubles. Penn tied the round with a tight 7-5 win in third doubles but senior Peter Tarwid (Lake Forest, Ill.) and sophomore Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) went on to win second doubles, 7-6 (3), to seal the point for the Bears.
In singles play, the Quakers won four straight matches in fifth, first, sixth and second en route to their win.
The Bears next travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the Tigers in a 1:00 p.m. match tomorrow (April 15).
