Men's Golf Falls To Loyola Marymount In Match Play Competition

Los Angeles, CA – Coach Mike Hughes' Brown men's golf team took on Loyola Marymount to open its spring trip in California and fell to the Lions by a 6.5 – 1.5 margin in a match played at the Brentwood Country Club.
Freshman Drew Powell (Bangor, ME), playing number three, captured a point for Brown in the eight-man match play competition, earning a 2&1 win over LMU's Mason Glinsky. Bears' junior Sasha Lobel (Pittsburgh, PA) and LMU's Nick Jan were all square after 18 holes, each earning a half point.
Brown returns to the east coast and will play in the Princeton Invitational, April 7-8, at the Springdale Country Club.
