
Women's Tennis Falls to Cornell, 4-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team was defeated by Cornell, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon. Cornell took the doubles point and would then win three singles matches for the victory.
In doubles play, senior Dayna Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.), playing in her last home match, teamed up with junior Alyza Benotto (Los Angeles, Calif.) to take a 6-3 win in first singles. Cornell would then claim the doubles point with wins in the second and third spots.
For singles action, the Big Red would win in first singles. Lord recorded a second singles victory (6-3, 6-2) but Cornell would close out play with victories in third, and fourth singles.
