Bears Fourth After Day One of Ivy League Women's Golf Championship

Orlando, Fla. - On the first day of play at the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, Brown stands in fourth place with a team score of 313 at the par 72, 6243 yard Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Princeton leads the field after round one with an eight-over par 296.
Junior Sienna Chapman turned in a tremendous opening round, shooting a one-over par 73 with a front nine score of 37 and a back nine of 36. Chapman was one-over through six holes, bogeyed number 16, but got back to one-over with a birdie two at number 17. She is currently in third place individually in the 35-player field.
Sophomore Elizabeth Doykan also played well, shooting 37-38—75 for the Bears, and is fifth individually. Two-time All-Ivy junior Christine Kim shot 80 on the opening day, while freshman Grace Daly came in at 85. Freshman Haley Mander finished at 94.
Second round action will be played on Saturday, April 22, with the final round on Sunday, April 23.
